Born in Chennai, grew up in Jakarta and then moved back to Tamil Nadu so that he could pursue a career in cricket. A left-arm spinner, Manimaran Siddharth, showcased his talent in the Tamil Nadu Premier League where he was economical in the powerplay as he could swing the ball (inswingers to right-handers) at a good pace. <br/> <br/> He made his Tamil Nadu debut against Mumbai in 2019 and picked four key wickets (Suryakumar Yadav, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube) in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He went on to pick 12 wickets in 5 matches at an average of 7.41 and an economy rate of 4.94 in that tournament. Siddharth was part of Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in 2020 and 2021 respectively but was benched throughout. He got very limited opportunities for his state side as TN had plenty of experience in their spin bowling department. <br/> <br/> After going unsold for a couple of seasons, Siddharth was bought by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of 2024 IPL for INR 2.4 crore. In a team that already had more experienced spinners, Siddharth managed to get into the XI and played three matches. Mostly bowling in the powerplay, Virat Kohli turned out to be his maiden IPL scalp. Siddharth was once again bought (INR 75 Lacs) by LSG in the 2025 IPL auction. With Digvesh Rathi being the main spinner, the left-armer featured in just two matches in the 2025 IPL. However, he was retained by the franchise ahead of the 2026 season.
