Sai Sudharsan is a tall, stylish and elegant left-handed batter who can bowl part-time leg-spin. Hailing from Chennai, son of two sportspersons, Sudharsan showcased his talent in 2021 in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. Representing Lyca Kovai Kings, he was the second highest run-scorer of the competition and he made his limited overs debut in the same year for Tamil Nadu. <br/> <br/> He was part of the TN set-up that won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2022, following which he got an IPL gig. He quickly became a regular in the TN squad across all three formats and tasted success in the longer formats. With 610 runs in 8 matches as an opener, he was the third highest run-getter of Vijay Hazare 2022-23. That was followed by his debut Ranji season and the opener kick-started his career with two centuries in as many outings. <br/> <br/> Thanks to his consistency in the domestic arena, Sudharsan was named in the Indian ODI squad which toured South Africa in 2023. With several big names missing, he recorded two successive and contrasting half-centuries in the 3-match series. <br/> <br/> <br/> <b>IPL through the years</b> <br/> <br/> After an impressive debut domestic season, Sudharsan was bought by Gujarat Titans for INR 20 lakh in the 2022 IPL auction. Batting at the top of the order, he scored 145 runs in 5 matches which included his maiden IPL fifty as well. <br/> <br/> He got more opportunities in the 2023 season and the left-handed batter amassed 362 runs in 8 innings batting at No. 3. He played a gem of an innings - 96 off 47 - in the final against Chennai Super Kings but still ended up on the losing side. <br/> <br/> Having become a key member of the GT set-up, Sudharsan became GT’s leading run-scorer of the season in IPL 2024 - 527 runs at an average of 47.90 - which included two fifties and a magnificent century against CSK. <br/> <br/> Sudharsan was retained by the Titans ahead of the 2025 IPL auction for INR 8.50 crore. <br/>
