Younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan is a talented middle-order batsman from Mumbai who has been impressive in India's domestic circuit. Musheer Khan had an impressive run during the Ranji Trophy season 2023-2024 where he scored 433 runs at an excellent average of 108.25 and was one of the major reasons for Mumbai's successful run. In the final of Ranji Trophy 2023-24, Musheer Khan scored a match-winning century as Mumbai became the Ranji champions for the 42nd time, beating Vidarbha in that match. The young batsman was also adjudged the Player of the Match for his heroics in the final. The same Ranji Season, Musheer played another decisive knock in the quarter-final where he scored a magnificent double century against Baroda and as a result of that, Mumbai advanced forward. He also smashed two centuries for India during the U19 World Cup in 2024. Musheer can bowl some handy spin bowling and is a complete all-round package. He was picked by Punjab Kings for his base price of 30 lakhs during the IPL auctions in Jeddah. Given the amount of experience and talent in Punjab's squad, it will be interesting to see whether Musheer gets an opportunity to feature in their playing XI.
